Some of my latest work....

HEADBOARD FOR SALE $50-SOLD!!

This would be darling in any girls room! Freshly Painted white with a gloss finish!

CUTE ENTRY TABLE/NIGHTSTAND OR SOFA TABLE.... IT WAS FOR SALE..... SOLD!!!!

This piece of course is on my favorites list!  And I of course wanted to keep it for myself...  However my house is MAXED OUT on furniture!  DANG IT!  However I'm keeping it in the family.... I had to show it off, so i sent pictures to my sister & she couldn't pass it up!  It is simply Adorable!

If you can't tell it was an old sewing machine, I had my husband gut it and put a bottom in it..  I don't sew but I'm sure it could still hold a smaller sewing machine or decorations, books, etc!  I believe my sister is going to use it as a side table next to her couch!  Cute, Cute!

I just thought I'd share one of my favorite walls in my house...

I promise I'm not one to brag, but I had to share one of my favorite walls in my house.. Aren't these frames so fun?! This is in my nail salon. I'm now on search for the perfect cabinet, something larger to replace this one..

Here's a couple of other furniture pieces that I've refinished for my nail room...

Before...  Nail table
This table actually was worse off then this, it had a funky layer of wood like wallpaper on top, that was rotted or something..?!

After..... What Sanding & Paint will do!

Another fun find that my sister actually found for me to sell, but of course I had to keep it for myself!

I'm FINALLY back!

Wow time literally flies past me these days... Last time I posted i was still pregnant, now I have a 5 month old! Unbelievable really!! Well I finally feel like I have my feet under me now, adjusting to two kids and being a full time mom vs. one kid and a full time working momma is two entirely separate worlds!  Who would have thought...?! Personally I would have thought that the full time mom was the easier route...  Some days not so much! Everyday is laundry, whining kids, messes, diapers, feedings, cleaning, over and over again... Ok that is the bad! I definitely feel very blessed and it is so rewarding to be able to be there for my kids and at the end of the day I wouldn't trade my time with my kids for anything else. Ok maybe a shower before 10:00am!  Thankfully I have two cute kids that are good natured & happy for the most part, not to mention a husband that puts up with me and who is so hard working!

Back to what I love doing! Since January I'm happy to say I've knocked a FEW things off my to do this!

Here is the Armoire that i finished for my son's room to match his changing table

I had my husband replace the backing with bead board to dress it up a bit, and i have since added cute brown baskets to hold more clothes.

Isn't this color great?! (Check back with me soon for paint colors.)

I have also finished my Christmas present to myself, which i couldn't be happier with! And I'm happy to say that my entry way is now organized (or as organized as it's going to get...)

Dresser Redo #1
I finally finished this bad boy to match my night stands in my room!  (Or i should say I'm 95% done with it.)  I still have to finish the door to cover the middle drawers. I was indecisive on what hardware i wanted on it and where, now I'm waiting until i have something else to paint in this color to finish it, almost there though.

Dresser Redo #2 - SOLD

I absolutely love a good solid dresser, but man dressers are so much work! I had fun with this one with all of the character and detail that it has!  I also discovered a great bronze paint that i painted some of the original gold hardware to match the new top & middle hardware!

I was half tempted at first to redo this one for myself.. But decided to go with the one that matched my nightstands.

P.S. I have lots more to come!  Stay tuned!

HOME FURNITURE MAKE OVER!

Switching Gears for a minute....

Nightstand Make Over - So I've switched gears for a minute, these are the nightstands in my bedroom....

When my husband and I got married we bought these nightstands, a dresser & a Armoire off of KSL as a package "steal of a deal"...  Anyways they had minor water damage to the tops, and when we first got them i thought one day I'll refinish them...  To say the least these have been needing a fix up for quite some time,  the drawers have worn down to the point that I have to get out of bed to even pull them open. And the tops as you can see I have only added to the water damage....  (Don't judge)... ha!

FINAL RESULTS- I couldn't be happier (I now don't have to get out of bed to open them)!  Along with my new lamps! (Now you can judge)....

My room is still undergoing a make over. I'm still on the search for the perfect accent pillows to tie the mustard in with the teal...  Also I've been on the fence whether or not I want to keep my $25 "Garage sale" headboard black or paint it cream, and then theirs my dresser and armoire that I still want to paint...  Pictures to come (Give me a few months, or 6)..

Changing Table Make Over!

Here's a sneak peak of my lil' man's furniture make over! This changing table was actually in mint condition, (minus one scratch) so i could have left it as is, however I wanted to add some color to his room without having to paint his walls.
I'm also in the process of painting a armoire for his room in this same color...  Pictures to come soon!

PAINTING!

I'd just like to ramble on for a minute about painting and how you might think that it looks easy.....  Well it's NOT!  Man i have had my fits with different projects...  I've had a LOVE/HATE relationship with it over the last couple of years!  Don't get me wrong I LOVE it to the point that I dream about it, and i pick furniture apart just thinking of what i can do to it!  But man the prep work, sanding, taping, fixing - NOT FUN!  (Yes that's why i haven't started my entryway Christmas present yet)...  Also finding the right paint color, brand, stain, brushes, etc, etc... AND TIME!  Talk about investment! BUT I LOVE A FINISHED PROJECT!!

UPCOMING ITEMS FOR SALE -

I'm excited for some upcoming furniture that I'm working on...
  • Small desk-  that would be perfect for a girls room
